Radhika Apte Confesses Of Casting Couch Experience On Camera

A lot of ladies are coming out and speaking about the horrors of casting couch and how they have been approached for it. In an EXCLUSIVE interview with Radhika Apte, the diva too opened up about her experience and how she shunned the offer away. The actress, who will be seen next in Leena Yadav’s Parched, is one treat to an interviewer! Why, you ask? Because of her outspoken nature and the fact that she’s super interesting as a human being! So while my interrogation on what’s life like on the stardom side continued, I casually asked her about casting couch and whether she was ever approached for that. Initially, maybe her bulb flickered a little bit as she couldn’t remember whether something that like happened to her. She denied it out and out.

But soon, she went down the memory lane as she described a totally different scenario and BOOM, it hit her! “You know I know also a lot of casting couch and I know a lot of people who have gone through it, I genuinely haven’t gone through it. See, I’m fortunate that I’ve never met people who have asked me to. I think once an actor in South called me on my room phone and tried to get flirtatious and I just was so rude to him. I think he fought with me later on. But anyway, I haven’t ever got a request saying that you have to sleep with us. Oh once I got a call. Yes yes wait. Once I got a call and they said ‘they’re doing this film in Bollywood and I want you to have a meeting with them. But would you be okay sleeping with that person?’ And I laughed! I said you’re so funny, you’re very funny and I said no I’m not. Ask him to go to hell (laughs).”
