But how many of us our knowing about when and how Balaji wafers came into existence.
The business was started by 3 brothers of Virani Family, Chandubhai, Kanubhai and Bhikhubhai.  Father of these trio, Popatbhai Virani, belongs to a small village Dhun Dhoraji, Jamnagar, Gujarat, was a farmer but was very supportive to their children for making their future bright. So he sold ancestral agriculture land and gave Rs. 20000/- for inventing to start a business venture.
Virani brothers started the business of farm equipment’s but it did not come out well enough so they had to shut it down and lost the invested amount in it. This failure did not demotivated or stopped them to do anything new. In 1976 they joined a canteen that over a period of time turned into a wafer making and retailing place.
The retail business of wafers was doing good so being inspired through this in 1989 Virani brothers took a loan to setup a semi automated plant to improve the quality and hygiene of product at Rajkot.
The success was in the hand and so gradually 1996 the company was formed as private limited company and that too with a fully automated manufacturing plant that produces not only wafers but other namkeen varieties of snacks.
By the year 2008 not only they have widened their distribution network but also built up one of the biggest plant of that time in Asia at Valsad to match with the increasing demand of other states. in 2015 another hi tech plant was set ul in Indore for serving the north and south regions of India.
And now its year 2019 where the company has more than 50 products range and more than 90 skus with more than 800 dealers and 5000 employees which has made company so successful and now its generating the revenue of around Rs. 2200 crores.
