SECTION B – COMPREHENSION

Time is one of the most valuable resources available to every person. Unlike money, time that has been lost cannot be recovered. For this reason, students should learn to use their time wisely.

Good time management begins with planning. A student can make a simple schedule showing when to study, rest, complete assignments and take part in other activities. Such planning helps prevent last-minute work and reduces unnecessary stress.

However, planning alone is not enough. Students must also avoid distractions. Excessive use of entertainment, social media and other activities can take away valuable study time. Developing self-discipline helps students remain focused on their goals.

26(a). Why is time considered a valuable resource?

26(b). What is the first step in good time management?

26(c). How can a schedule help students?

26(d). Mention two distractions that may waste students’ time.

26(f). Find a word meaning “excessive or too much”.

26(g). Find the opposite of “valuable”.

(h). State the main idea of the passage.

SECTION C – SUMMARY

Healthy eating is important for maintaining good health. A balanced diet provides the body with nutrients needed for growth, energy and proper functioning. Foods such as fruits, vegetables, grains and proteins can form part of a healthy diet.

People should avoid consuming too much sugar, salt and highly processed food. Drinking enough water is also important. Healthy eating does not mean completely avoiding favourite foods; rather, it means eating different foods in appropriate amounts.

Young people should develop healthy eating habits early. Families and schools can encourage these habits by providing nutritious meals and teaching students about the importance of good nutrition.
