King Umberto 1 of Italy was crowned as King in January 1878. After being King he started working on his plan of expansion of his kingdom, to do so he joined hands with empires of Germany, Austria & Hungry to acquire the strong holding in Africa. His ruling period was a real difficult time for the nation, but some thing interesting happened to his life just a day before his death which left him happily remembered forever.
On 28th July 1900, King had visited a restaurant of Monza and was enjoying the food. Everything was normal until the restaurant owner approach to greet King Umberto as his esteemed guest. He was looking just like King Umberto, as if both were twins. They both have same height, body. The owner also being called Umberto. That was very surprising for King Umberto. So the curiosity increased to know more about the owner. Then the treasure of surprises were opened with many similarities between the King and the restro owner.
Both were born on same date – 14th March 1844 in the same town Turin. Both had served in the military and had promoted on the same day to different ranks. Both the King and restro owner had got married on the same day with women named Margherita and had sons named Vittorio.
This was not the end, the restaurateur had open his restaurant on the exact same day when the King Umberto was crowned.
Amazed and impressed with so many similarities, King Umberto Invited restaurateur to his palace to watch the sports series together the other day. But fate was already written for both. The restaurant owner was murdered in a shootout when he was supposed to meet the King, and as soon as the King got the sad new of the restaurateur murdered, King him self was caught and assassinated by the a gunman named Gaetano Bresci.
